My parents lived in a treehouse when I was born and we moved into a tiny home before tiny homes were cool. We didn’t have AC (which is wild in Florida!) or TV for most of my early childhood. We grew our own food, and sometimes even hitchhiked just to get me to school. But what I did have was time...time to explore outside, read stacks of books, and create in my own little world.
As an Enneagram 7 (The Enthusiast!), I’ve always loved more...more love, more joy, more adventure, more wisdom. I dream big and I love helping others do the same!
I’m also known for my love of Jesus, obsession with podcasts, backpacking the Appalachian Trail, a little bit of grit, and of course, homeschooling!
Oh, and I guess I should mention that by the world’s standards, I’m completely unqualified to homeschool: no degree, a rough childhood, single mom at 17, along with so many more hesitations I could list. Yet here I am, loving this life as we homeschool and if I can do it, I know you can too.

I'm Charlotte
I was 17 years old when I found out I was going to be a mom. Five years later, I met my husband, Eddie, at my best friend's birthday party. I almost fell in a bonfire, he caught me, and the rest is history. We have 3 boys and they are all amazing and wildly different young men.

I’m the quasi-essential barefoot hippie kid spending all my time outside, but if I could choose one place to go would be the Smokies and the Appalachian Trail has my heart. I’ve done sections solo and with the girls. Fun fact: Lauren (on the right) and I have been best friends since 6th grade!
Backpacking is the best reminder of how little we actually need to not just live, but thrive!
